Hot Springs Vacation Home Our History

Hot Springs Vacation Homes has been in business since August 2004.  Our first vacation rental was a 3-bedroom home on Ramble Street in downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas  (across the street from our own home)  The Ramble Home accommodated up to 10 and served 233 individuals during its 24 months of operation.

In August 2006, the vacation rental business was moved to Mt. Ida, Arkansas with the purchase of property located on Fox Lane.  (We moved to Mt. Ida in January 2006) This new location could accommodate up to 20 with a 4-bedroom home, cabin and studio all on 5 wooded acres.  During it's first 13 months of operation, we served 347 individuals. As we ended our first "peak season" at the new location in 2007, we were happy to report a "sold out" June and July and a very busy August!

In October 2007, we expanded the business with the purchase of the cute little A-Frame house next door.  We were aware that there were famiies, some our previous guests of the Hot Springs home, who did not need a house as large as the Main House on Fox Lane. So, we wanted to come up with an alternative.  We also were beginning to book large family reunions and more space was needed to accommodate larger families.  We can now sleep up to 28  with the addition of the new home to our existing units on Fox Lane.  The home can be booked as a separate rental, or in conjunction with the Main House, Studio and Cabin next door.

We are constantly making improvements to the property.  In the Spring of 2008, the exterior of the Cabin, Studio and outbuildings on the property were painted.  In the Spring of 2009, the Main House is scheduled to be painted as well. All units have been  remodeled since being purchased in 2006.
